New Trailers for Spider-Man

Columbia Pictures, in collaboration with Wal-Mart, has been making a major push to promote the soon-to-be-released Spider-Man reboot. I have to admit, I don’t really see the point in this movie. I mean, didn’t we just do a Spider-Man movie trilogy? Wasn’t it hailed as a prime example of movie making and a faithful adaptation? And I seem to remember the last one came out just a few years ago. So really, what’s to be gained with this reboot other than a whole lot of money?

But I can’t deny, the promos have got me kind of interested, especially the first one. Here, we have a scene from the movie where Parker, now amped up on Spidey-power, decides to take down a carjacker. The second video is an extended behind the scenes look at the new movie and what the new focus will be. Granted, there do appear to be some differences between this version and the last, and even from the source material. I might just see it after all!

exactly. unnecessary movie. i can redo spiderman and make changes and every movie will be different enough, but that doesn’t make it necessary. this is an even more perfect example of the lack of creativity in hollywood.

I had the exact feeling about this movie while watching the trilogy last week. Is it just me or Spiderman really sounds upbeat and chatty in the first car-theft video? Tobey’s spiderman seemed quite subdued …

I am excited to see someone play Spiderman that isn’t Tobey Maguire, and I agree with not knowing why they even made it in the first place.

I’m certainly psyched to see it…and about 4 other movies this summer. God, I hate not being rich.

I thought the same thing.. then my son who is a SUPER HERO buff said something about this is the Spidey who is going to “team” up with the Avengers?? Not sure if that is true…. But I do admit I didn’t like the Tobey guy either. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Well that might explain the reboot. They want a current Spider-Man to join their ranks. Makes sense…

I don’t like this movie concept what so ever. How many re-do things do we need in such a sort amount of time, its one thing to wait like 30 years for footloose or whatever..but seriously.. sadness but great review

It’s true. It’s like, “why don’t you Hollywood producers just admit you’re out of ideas?”

I have not been to a movie theater to watch a movie since Star Trek (2009). I might make another journey for “The Amazing Spider-Man.”
