Good news everybody! The people who brought you Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have finally released a teaser trailer for the new Bond movie. I know this doesn’t quite fall into the category of science fiction, but I love the new Bond films. And if it’s of interest to me and to others, I’m sure to post about it!
Named Skyfall, the new movie is apparently going to involve revelations about M and an attack on MI6. In the course of it all, Bond’s loyalty will be tested, and he will have to make more sacrifices to save the only home he’s ever known and only job he’s ever been good at. Check out the trailer below.

So excited by the trailer. I think Daniel Craig is a great Bond. And why shouldn’t it be considered sci fi? I mean the toys that he uses are kind of space agey aren’t they? 🙂
If you’re talking the original films before Casino Royale, then definitely, especially Moonraker and Die Another Day. But the reboot films, their weaponry is definitely more in line with what modern military and government firearms and such are actually like. I think filmmakers actually ask gun companies for permission to use their products before making models based on the weapons.
You’re so right. The older films were much more about camp than anything. Now the weapons and devices are much more military. I do love a good Bond film though. I can’t wait to see it. And Daniel Craig of course.

Funny story: I have blonde hair, so whenever I do my James Bond impression, I say I’m “James Blonde” instead of James Bond.
I’m stoked for this to come out! Right there with you on the Bond films. I grew up watching them but these new ones have a totally different feel to them.
